Sri Bhavani Mahila Mandali was established by Smt. Manthri Kalavathy in March of 1996 with the objectives of empowering women through literacy drives and various training programmes. The society was registered under the Societies registration act XXI of 1860 of Indian Govt.,

Sri Bhavani Mahila Mandali trained more than 1200 women in self employment courses like tailoring, embroidery, saree- rolling, ceramic painting, beautician, candles making etc., in its 4 training centers at kavadiguda, Ram Nagar, Chikkadpally and Goshamahal of Hyderabad.

Sri Bhavani Mahilamandali is running a short stay home for the destitute women like Depressed, Divorced, Deserted, Dowry Harassed, Widows, Sexually Harassed, Girls from the broken families and  Orphans etc.,  At present 30 women and 7 children are under its care.

Sri Bhavani Mahilamandali is rendering its services in the following areas also:

• Adult education
• Water Conservation
• Vocational training for SC,ST,OBC
• Uplifting of the Poor
• HIV/AIDS awareness

Sri Bhavani Mahila Mandali is running a Family Counseling Centre and a trust for Educational services called "Bhavani Educational Trust".

Sri Bhavani Mahilamandali is participating in various government's development & welfare programmes and working as liaison between government schemes and prospective beneficiaries voluntarily.

Sri Bhavani Mahila Mandali got several awards and appreciations from the Government, Media and various Agencies inclusive of Best NGO awards. Sri Bhavani Mahila Mandali achieved community participation in its activities and coordination with fellow service organisations.
